TRAINING THE TRAINER – AT LA ALIANZA, GUATEMALA

With the support of the Meehan Foundation, on July 23 and 24, part of the staff of La Alianza participated in the training event Competent Caretakers in Trauma, intended to improve the services we provide to our children and adolescents.

The Human Rights Ombudsman (PDH), through Licda. Lucía Peláez, introduced La Alianza to the Executive Secretary of the Commission Against Drug Addictions and Drug Trafficking (SECCATID) to receive training on the matter of drug addiction and its effects.

This training process was carried out in three modules, each one of them allowed us to learn more about this problem and thereby provide better care for girls and adolescents with consumer practices as a side effect to their status as victims of trafficking in persons and/or sexual violence.
