La Alianza – Continuous learning and training to enhance the help given to children
The work team of La Alianza is systematically trained in different topics in order to perform their best in the comprehensive care for children and adolescent girls.
On this occasion, the social workers participated in the Trafficking Congress of people in the modality of organ trafficking (the Coordinator of the area); a workshop for attention to families in different contexts, and implementation of methodology in USAC (two TS); training on “National Protocol for the reception and attention to migrant children and adolescents in Guatemala”, organized by CIPRODENI, and participation in the Second Diploma on Child Migration (1 TS).
In addition, the ALA team of educators and the Integral Health Team held a meeting on June 12, to exchange ideas and strengthen ties between female colleagues. They had the support of a group of circuses from Guatemala.
In an activity organised by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), four members of the ALA team participated the revision of the new system which has just begun, which will allow the regional registration of cases of trafficking in persons.
