Monthly Report on the Situation of the Rights of Children and Youth in Honduras, April 2022
The problems inherited from the previous government to the new authorities are enormous and will not be resolved in a short time as the population demands, because at least eight years have passed without investment in social programs, on the contrary, corruption, waste and theft were the norm and not the exception.
However, the inherited problems should not be an excuse so that after a hundred days of government there is no clear picture of the actions that the new government will implement on issues related to the education system, the health system and the protection of children. and the youth of the country.
It is urgent to provide answers to these problems, otherwise the legitimacy gained at the polls may be lost, further aggravating social problems.
