PATH TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND LEARNING SKILLS FOR LIFE

PATH TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND LEARNING SKILLS FOR LIFE – News from La Alianza Guatemala

As part of the learning process to entrepreneurship of the girls at La Alianza Guatemala, a bazaar was organised on July 13 with the support of the Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office (PDH).

Once again, they provided a space for our girls to sell the products they had prepared and made during different technical and vocational training courses they received at La Alianza, which ran thanks to the support of Compass Children’s Charity.

The girls, in the ALA band played El Rey Quiché and Queremos Rock and Roll, also, they sold decorative items; soap, costume jewellery, food and some of the oil paintings of their own.

According to the usual practice, half of the funds raised during these events go to the girls’ individual savings, while the other half supports an assortment of initiatives intended as working capital that allow them to make some money for the time they reinsert with their family, their community and / or independent life, as well as allowing them to acquire new skills for life.
